(self-taught, college, bootcamp…) However, when I started to learn to code and apply it to websites and designs, I found that I really enjoyed the problem-solving and creative aspects of coding and software development. It seemed like the best choice because of the constant need for learning and development, which are areas I love. I focused on Software Engineering because of the variety of technologies and languages I could learn. I thought to be ahead of the labour curve and to skill myself up in time for this change. While I was studying Labour Markets, there was a huge focus on the digitisation of the workforce and the creation of 3 million new jobs in the UK by 2025 for digital-based roles and industries. I wanted to study a PhD but found little to no opportunities to study my chosen field (Industrial Relations between the UK and Japan). What motivated you to work in a tech field? My current hobbies are gaming on Valorant and content creation.
